Dr. Betsy Hanna has been a dentist at Village Family Dental since 2006. She joined VFD after serving in the United States Navy as a dentist for three years. While in the military, she completed a one year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD). After her AEGD in Norfolk, VA, she was stationed in Yokosuka Japan for her final two years.
Betsy attended the University of Iowa Dental School and graduated in 2002 with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She earned a biology degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and also played on the volleyball and softball teams at UWP earning the female scholar athlete award in both 1997 and 1998. In 2013 she received an Outstanding Alumni Award from UWP. Betsy grew up on a farm near Decorah, Iowa and graduated from Decorah High School.
Betsy is on the Sauk Prairie Healthcare Foundation Board and a member of Sauk Prairie Women on a Mission. Betsy lives in the Sauk Prairie area with her husband Wade and three children, Marty, Maggie and Molly.
